One of the main aims of the AE DataBase Centre is
to play a KEY role in securing a continual improvement in the quality of
the service provided to the public, by the local trade, by displaying
a complete range of technical data for the perusal of all centre
members. If any centre member experiences difficulty in understanding or
applying any item of technical data the AE DataBase Officer may
be contacted, free of charge, for basic verbal
advice. To secure this service, contact should be made by returning to
our Home Page and clicking "Contact Us" and using any one of the means
of communication listed thereat.

If the aforementioned verbal advice is insufficient
or too basic to enable the intended outcome, the centre member may
then apply for further support. This more intensive support may
include, for example, further written advice which will be charged for
at the current rate. To secure any formal / written advice, contact
should be made by returning to our Home Page and clicking "Contact Us"
and using any one of the means of communication listed thereat. A list
of charges associated with this service may also be obtained from the
AE DataBase Officer.
A Consultancy service will also
be made available which may or may not include 'hands on" practical
instruction provided by an appropriately qualified and experienced
member of the academic staff of the Department of Automotive
Engineering. Such consultancy work will normally be done at the
Department of Automotive Engineering and all VTC regulations applying
to this kind of work will be rigidly applied. To secure any formal /

communication listed thereat. Each item of consultancy service will be
charged at a rate agreed between the Department of Automotive
Engineering and the member-customer.
